    With the holiday shopping season in full swing and the end-of-year in sight, there’s still time to maximize your end-of-year business.  Here are 6 easy and proven ways to connect the sales and merchandising dots and generate sales!

    NO. 1–Increase Your Store Signage--Your store traffic is likely to get busier in the coming weeks leading up to Christmas.   Because of that, your salespeople are going to be as busy as Santa’s elves so your store signage will serve as a silent sales person.  Add more signage throughout your store to point out gift items by price-point or gift receipt.  Use signage to provide decorating and gift giving ideas and also let customers know about in-store events.  And make sure to include a sign at each checkout area listing store services like free gift wrapping, your return policy, shipping services and gift cards.  When your store associates can’t do the work, let your signage say it for you!

    NO. 2–Use Social Media To Promote Your Store and Products–Now is the time to ramp up your social media posts.  Set the alarm on your phone as a reminder to post at least three times during the day. Share a favorite product, provide an entertaining tip or remind customers about your extended shopping hours.  The more you put your store in front of existing and prospective customers, the more traffic you can drive to your store.
